We appreciate your patience whilst we prepare your meals and for this REASON you will find a section “WHILE YOU WAIT” in our menu, because we will never allow you to wait without out tasty nibbles & drinks.

My favourite restaurant in Shrewsbury!
Amazing restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is great. The chef came out to speak to all the guests at the end to ask how everyone’s meals were and I thought that was really lovely. I have been told they are going to do take out over lockdown which I am so happy about because I don’t think I can go 4 weeks without their food!! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Wonderful food
Great venue with an authentic and cozy trattoria feel to it. The staff were attentive, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Despite the restaurant, facilities and staff being fully kitted out for COVID compliance the atmosphere was very nice. The food was the star of the show. We had a variety of starters, all of which were beautifully presented, fresh and authentic. My carbonara was delicious and made with pig cheek as it is in Rome and others enjoyed theirs equally. Our deserts were generous and boozy, complemented by limoncello on the house . We lived in Italy for several years and try to visit whenever possible as it’s the only fix of genuine Italian hospitality we have found since our return; the well known chains don’t come close. We eat out a lot in this area and rate this the best restaurant in Shrewsbury.

Tasty treat before lockdown!
Luckily we managed to book a table at Osteria da Paolo before the lockdown. Upon arrival we received a really warm welcome and the staff were very friendly and very attentive. The starters were fantastic, the mains were amazing and the dessert finished the meal off perfectly, the service was really good on a very busy night and the whole meal was really good value, a real tasty treat before lockdown and can’t wait to come back, highly recommend.
